The tomb monument of King Shepseskaf, last king of the Fourth Dynasty, in South Saqqara between Djoser's pyramid and Dahshur.
The story
The Mastabat al-Fir'aun, meaning "Bench of the Pharaoh", was built as the tomb of the ancient Egyptian king Shepseskaf, who ruled around 2500 BC. He is the last documented king of the Fourth Dynasty. The monument stands in South Saqqara, halfway between the Pyramid of Djoser and Sneferu's pyramids at Dahshur, close to the pyramid of Pepi II.
