The story
Hidden in the mountains between Nuweiba and Taba, named "Washwash" after the whispering sound of wind echoing through the tight granite slot canyon. Winter rains feed three deep natural pools hemmed in by sheer pink cliffs, offering an unforgettable off-road safari and canyon swimming experience.
Visiting tips
Accessible only by 4x4 jeep safari with local Bedouin guides, followed by a 90-minute hike and scramble. Wear sturdy grip shoes.
